ADR Roster
Here you will find information about service providers and mediators who have expressed an interest in working with parties experiencing energy-related disputes. There is an explanation about how these professionals were selected for listing on the Web site and the application criteria for service providers and mediators who wish to be considered for inclusion in the rosters.

Purpose of Rosters

The purpose of these rosters is to provide any party in dispute with a source of qualified and experienced service providers and mediators. Parties in dispute may use these rosters or any other source, such as the Alberta Arbitration and Mediation Society (AAMS) directory. The listed mediators and service providers are based in various locations in Alberta. They applied to be included in the rosters because of their interest in resolving energy industry disputes.

Disclaimer: These rosters do not imply certification of competency and/or establishment of credential. They have been designed to assist parties by providing one of many options in selecting service providers and mediators who have relevant training and experience.

Service Providers

Here you will find information about service providers who have expressed an interest in working with parties experiencing energy-related disputes.
Duties Service providers deliver logistic, convening, and administrative services and assist in preparing for collaborative discussions. They have business agreements with numerous mediators and other ADR professionals and are able to assist in selecting a mediator. Mediators are independent third parties who manage the mediation process.

Credentials

  • demonstrated experience and expertise in ADR system design management and case building,
  • professional references supporting their ability to manage the ADR design
  • an acceptable database, performance measurement, and reporting system.

Mediators

Here you will find information about mediators who have expressed an interest in working with parties experiencing energy-related disputes.

Mediators - Duties
The mediator's job is to help the parties reach a settlement that meets their interests acceptably. The mediator is not a decision-maker, legal adviser, or solution provider.

Credentials

  • subscribed to a code of ethics or conduct of a relevant professional association or society
  • working knowledge of interest-based dispute resolution techniques and sufficient related training
  • documented experience
  • appropriate insurance coverage
  • willingness to travel and take orientation programs
