OPTIONS employs a team of mediators and conflict management professionals to provide a wide range of dispute resolution services. We have developed a framework for "consensus building" that encourages cost- and time-efficient handling of disputes arising in and around the energy industry, involving landowners, oil companies, and various other important stakeholders.
We specialize in Preliminary Process Design. Impartial ADR professionals will assist parties in analyzing the conflict situation, selecting an appropriate process, and designing a customized case management system for resolving the dispute. Furthermore, we offer ongoing coaching and administrative support for a smooth transition from preliminary process design to substantive mediation sessions. We employ a roster of independent mediators to deliver these services, and can assist parties to locate a mediator with the necessary background and experience to manage their case effectively.
Client support is our number one priority. Our ADR consultants work with confidentiality and integrity in the delivery of process design and case management services. We take care of important administrative details so the parties can concentrate on the issues at hand.
Mediation Expertise and Experience
OPTIONS is managed by an experienced oil & gas professional, with over twenty years work history in many facets of the industry. That experience gives OPTIONS a unique insight into the issues that may arise between energy companies. Our consultants bring a variety of skills to the conflict management planning and design arena - environmental, regulatory, legal, oil and gas, and business. All team members have formal training in conflict management. We have successfully meditated or facilitated a variety of cases, including large multi-party disputes, landowner-industry issues, and industry-industry cases. Company-to-company disputes are a primary focus for OPTIONS, an area where we have unique expertise and a strong track record.
