Animal Health

The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) issued Bulletin 2008-10, which rescinds Informational Letter [IL] 2002-04: Animal Health Investigation Memorandum of Understanding.

Landowners and petroleum companies are encouraged to work with their local veterinarians to rule out production and animal care issues. In those cases where animal health issues might arise from petroleum operations, animal health experts should be consulted by the veterinary practitioner.  ERCB inspection staff will continue to investigate all complaints for compliance with ERCB regulations.

Additional Information

Every year the ERCB collects, compiles, and publishes a large amount of technical data and information about Alberta's energy development and resources for use by both industry and the general public. This includes raw data, statistics, information on regulations, policies, and decisions, and hearing materials.

Publications may either be viewed at the ERCB library or obtained from Information Services. Both are housed on the main floor of the ERCB head office in Calgary. Publications may also be downloaded free of charge from the ERCB Web site http://www.ercb.ca/.
