ST50: Gas Processing Plants in Alberta List - System-Generated Documents
The Alberta Energy and Utilities Board (EUB) announces a change in how the ST50: Gas Processing Plants in Alberta List Quarterly Update is produced. ST50 is currently updated on a quarterly basis by the EUB Facility Applications Group. The compilation is performed by a manual process after new and/or licence amendment applications are approved for gas processing plants, gas fractionation plants, and straddle plants. The information stored within the current document is based on both old facility approvals1 and facility licensed information.2
System-Generated Versions
Two versions of ST50 generated by an EUB database system will be available. The first is a reduced version of the current ST50 designed to meet EUB report standards, to be printable to fit one page wide, and to deliver higher level gas plant facility licence and reporting facility information. The second is an expanded version of the current ST50 designed to meet EUB report standards, to be exportable into a spreadsheet format, and to deliver detailed gas plant facility licence and reporting facility information.
The system-generated versions of ST50 are based on live data and will be available from EUB Information Services (640-5 Avenue SW, Calgary, main floor; e-mail: eub.infoservices@eub.ca) whenever needed, not just quarterly.
Phased-out and Phased-in Periods
The current ST50 version supported by a manual process will be phased out between the second and third quarters of fiscal 2007/2008 (i.e., July 2007 through December 2007). The new system-generated process, with printable and exportable versions, will be phased in between the second and third quarters of 2007/2008 and will be the sole process thereafter. These versions will constitute the facility licence and reporting facility information within EUB databases.
The EUB and gas plant licensees have been working together to improve data captured from gas plant licences. Since early 2005, an estimated 346 gas plant licences have been updated to capture missing licence data or licence and operational status. Through this effort, it is believed that the validity of captured licence information has greatly improved. The information will improve as licence amendments occur and during compliance assessment activity completed by the EUB and licensees.
If errors are found in the facility licence information contained in the system-generated versions of ST50, licensees are expected to notify the Facilities Application Group through a voluntary self disclosure facility licence amendment application (see Directive 056: Energy Development Applications and Schedules, available under Industry Zone on the EUB Web site www.ercb.ca).
If errors are found in the reporting facility ID code3 (ABGP00XXXXX4 ) information contained in the system-generated versions, licensees are expected to notify the EUB Customer Contact Centre (CCC). CCC staff will have a list of Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) to assist in answering typical questions. They will also direct calls to the appropriate EUB group to assist in correcting the information. The CCC telephone number is (403) 297-8311.
For all other errors discovered and general comments about the system-generated versions of ST50, contact Information Services by e-mail at eub.infoservices@eub.ca.
