Enhancements to ST13B: Alberta Gas Plant/Gas Gathering System Activities Monthly Statistics

The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) ST13B: Alberta Gas Plant/Gas Gathering System Activities Monthly Statistics contains the monthly volumetric data for gas plants and gas gathering systems that are reporting liquids. Activities such as receipts, dispositions, and processes are reported for gas and liquid products. The data are extracted once a month from the Petroleum Registry of Alberta (PRA).

ST13B has been revised to enhance the data reported to serve the ERCB’s customers more efficiently and effectively. The specific changes are listed below.

1 Changes to ST13B Excel Version

1.1 Additions

Data in ST13B are displayed in columns, with a row indicating the facility identification (ID). Additional information columns have been added for each facility ID.

EDCT (energy development category type): identifies the type of energy development the facility is currently licensed for, as well as the minimum consultation and notification requirements.

EDCT Description: in accordance with Table 5.1 of Directive 056: Energy Development Applications and Schedules, the category type of a facility is dependent on the hydrogen sulphide and sulphur content of the inlet gas stream.

Field: as assigned by the ERCB.
Field Centre: the ERCB Field Centre that has inspection jurisdiction over this field/location.
Location: the unique well identifier for this facility
• LE  Location Exception Code
• LSD  Legal Subdivision
• SEC  Section
• TWP  Township
• RG  Range
• M  Meridian (West of)

First Volumetric Activity Date: the date when production was first reported.

Licensee Code/Name: the business associate (BA) code and name of the ERCB licence holder.

Facility Latitude/Longitude: the latitude and longitude coordinates of the facility.

Ethane Production Total (cu.m.): the sum total of all ethane process and frac columns.

Propane Production Total (cu.m.): the sum total of all propane process and frac columns.

Butane Production Total (cu.m.): the sum total of all butane product process and frac columns.

Pentane Production Total (cu.m.): the sum total of all pentane product process and frac columns.

Pentane Plus Closing Inventory (cu.m.): pentane plus closing inventory for the month.

NGL Production Total (cu.m.): the sum total of the natural gas liquid (NGL) process and frac columns.

NGL Frac (cu.m.): displays NGL frac totals.

Sulphur Fuel Disposition (tonnes), Sulphur Flare Disposition (tonnes), Sulphur Other Disposition (tonnes): displays all activities for sulphur at a reporting facility.

1.2 Addition of Summary Totals

Summary totals have been added at the end of the report to show cumulative monthly results by gas plant and gas gathering system facility subtypes for each product and activity reported. Facility subtypes have been grouped by the following codes:

401: Gas Plant Sweet
402: Gas Plant Acid Gas Flaring < 1 tonnes per day (t/d) sulphur
403: Gas Plant Acid Gas Flaring > 1 t/d sulphur
404: Gas Plant Acid Gas Injection
405: Gas Plant Sulphur Recovery
406: Gas Plant Mainline Straddle
407: Gas Plant Fractionation
621: Gas Gathering System

Overall totals provide the summary totals for all the facility subtypes.

2 Changes to ST13B PDF Version—Detail and Summary Pages

2.1 Revisions

Data on ST13B are displayed in rows according to activity name. Some activity names have been revised to reflect the data displayed.
Other: displays dispositions to destinations other than those dispositions recorded in all of the other rows in the report.

Diff and Other: displays metering differences and inventory adjustment volumes as reported in the PRA.

3 Contact Information
