Directive 059 – ERCB Changes and Additional Information

Packer PULL Transactions (March 2011)

Packer date is now mandatory when a packer is pulled. This is to enable the storage of packer history by the ERCB. There will be no changes in the way that packers are displayed in the Petroleum Registry of Alberta (PRA).

Removal of Personal Information Contained in Well Drilling and Completions Daily Operations Report (Dec 2010)

All personal information is to be removed from the report prior to submission to the ERCB Core Research Centre. The Well Drilling Completions Data Submission cover sheet provides a space for the Authorized Representative of the Licensee to confirm that all personal information has been removed. Please refer to ERCB Bulletin 2010-43 for more information.

Multi-Stage Fracture Completion (Nov 2010)

Operation type code 42 for ‘Multi-Stage Fracture’ has been created to allow industry to submit multi-stage fracture completion operations for wells through the DDS Well Drilling Completion Data submission system.  Completion records of wells that used a different operation type code can submit a DDS amendment.

Follow the link for a detailed description (including example diagrams) of the Submission Requirements for Multi-Stage Fracture.
