Bulletin 2008-43
December 9, 2008
Introducing ST109: Alberta Coalbed Methane Well Locations
The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) announces a new statistical report. ST109: Alberta Coalbed Methane Well Locations will provide a monthly system-generated list of ERCB-identified coalbed methane (CBM) well locations in Alberta . These wells are drilled, nonconfidential, not abandoned, and identified as producing from coals or producing from coals commingled with other strata. The CBM Well Location tables in previous Bulletins 2005-15, 2006-33, and 2007-05 will be replaced by ST109 . The CBM Activity Summary section in these bulletins will be included in future editions of ST98: Alberta's Energy Reserves and Supply/Demand Outlook.
ST109 will be available free of charge on the ERCB Web site www.ercb.ca, exportable into a spreadsheet format. The first report will be posted in early January 2009.
If errors are found in the information contained in the list, licensees are expected to notify the ERCB Customer Contact Centre (CCC) by telephone at 403-297-8311. CCC staff will direct calls to the appropriate ERCB group to assist in correcting the information.
For all other errors discovered and general comments about ST109 , contact Information Services by e-mail at ercb.infoservices@ercb.ca .
