The Energy Resources Conservation Board (ERCB) reports ST39 and ST43: Alberta Mineable Oil Sands Plant Statistics contain statistical data on the mineable oil sands operations for the province of Alberta. ST39 is a monthly report that includes production, supplies, dispositions, and inventory of oil sands and processing products for the current month and the preceding months for the current year. ST43 is the annual edition, which includes historical data. The data are obtained from S23 Oil Sands Monthly Processing statements submitted by operators to the ERCB.
Availability of ST39 and ST43
ST39 and ST43, beginning with the ST39 February 2009 issue and ST43-2007, are now available in both PDF and Excel formats for download at no charge on the ERCB Web site www.ercb.ca under Publications.
ST39 and ST43 were formerly available in PDF format for purchase from ERCB Information Services. Previously published versions will remain available for purchase and will not be available on the ERCB Web site, with the exception of ST43-2007. Subscriptions remain available from ERCB Information Services for a fee.
Report Names
ST39 was previously named Alberta Oil Sands Plant Statistics Monthly Supplement, and ST43 was named Mineable Alberta Oil Sands Annual Statistics.
To ensure that the relationship between the monthly supplement and annual report is understood and to clarify that these reports refer only to data received from oil sands mines, the report names have been changed to
- ST39: Alberta Mineable Oil Sands Plant Statistics Monthly Supplement
- ST43: Alberta Mineable Oil Sands Plant Statistics—Annual
