1. Update to the Risk Assessed Noncompliance spreadsheet, found under the “Risk Assessed Noncompliance” link.

  • Technical Operations Group/Production Operations Section
    - Directive 076 noncompliance event statements located under new compliance category: Enhanced Production Audit Program (EPAP).
     
  • Information Collection and Dissemination Group (ICD Group)
    - Name change from Geological Data Section , to Well Log Section
     
  • ICD Group/Production/Well Data Services Section
    - Name change to compliance category of Well Drilling and Completions Data Requirements , to Well Drilling Data Requirements .
     
  • Field Surveillance & Operations Branch / Field Operations Group
    - Directive 064, Oil Facilities/Gas Facilities, the addition of two noncompliance statements referencing fugitive emissions (Dir 060, s.8.7).
     

2. Update to the ERCB Persistent Noncompliance Criteria 2010, found under the “Persistent Noncompliance Criteria by Compliance Category” link.

  • Information Collection and Dissemination Group (ICD Group)
    - Name change from Geological Data Section , to Well Log Section
     
  • ICD Group/Production/Well Data Services Section
    - Name change to compliance category of Well Drilling and Completions Data Requirements , to Well Drilling Data Requirements .

    Any questions/comments regarding persistent criteria for a specific Compliance Category should be directed to the respective ERCB group.

    Any questions/comments regarding the ERCB Persistent Noncompliance Framework should be directed to ComplianceCoordination@ercb.ca .
     

3. Update to the Compliance Categories and ERCB Contact Personnel list, found under the “Compliance Categories and Contacts” link.

  • 2010 update to list and contact names, reflecting ERCB organizational changes and alignment with other published Compliance and Enforcement documents.

Regulatory compliance and enforcement ensures energy activity within the province is conducted in a manner that protects public safety, minimizes environmental impact, preserves equity, and provides effective resource conservation.

The energy industry is expected to meet ERCB requirements and to have infrastructure in place to ensure proactive compliance.
